Richard J. “Rick” Carter, age 51 of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at the Hospice House, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 7, 1963, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late Robert and Christel (Weidner) Carter. He attended local schools, was a graduate of Tremper High School and received an Associate’s Degree from Gateway Technical College.
Rick honorably served our country in the U. S. Air Force from 1981 until 1985 and was employed with Great Lakes Naval Base as a structural engineer.
On September 3, 1988, Rick was united in marriage to Christine Perry at St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Rick was an athlete and loved playing softball, bowling and golfing. He coached baseball for 18 years, 14 of them while his sons were active with Kenosha Little League. He served on the board of directors with the Kenosha Little League and stayed involved with his sons while they were active in Boy Scouts and supported their numerous activities and sporting events. Rick was also a dedicated Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Chris; their four sons, Eric, Steven, Kevin and Travis Carter; three brothers, three brothers-in-law; five sisters-in-law; four nephews, nine nieces and a great niece.

Funeral services with full military honors will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Piasecki Althaus Funeral Home, 3720 39th Ave.,Kenosha, WI. Private interment will be held in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

I enjoyed our times together and against each other in Little League. He was a very kind man, family man and always seemed to give of himself. He will be missed.
