Reverend Darryl A. “Bit” Carr, Sr., age 51 of McComb, MS passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, following a brief illness.
Born on February 3, 1964, in Kenosha, he was the son of the late LeRoy Carr. Sr. and Dorothy (Bardwell) Cotton. He attended local schools and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
Darryl was employed for 24 years as an over the road truck driver most recently being employed with Armstrong, Pittman and Winns. He also served as the Associate Pastor at St. Mary Free Will Baptist Church in McComb, MS under Pastor James Banks.
He is survived by his five children, Candice, Jasmine, Darryl, Jr., Alonzo and Michaela; his eight grandchildren; his siblings, Duane (Lisa), LeRoy, Michael, Brian (Cassie), Kim (Adrian), Orlando, Minnie, Alice, Sherrie and Lilly; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father.

A Home Going Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 at 12:00 Noon at Second Baptist Church, 3925 32nd Avenue. Interment with full military honors will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery.

Herman & Marge BaileyTo the immediate family of our nephew, Darryl Carr, may you find comfort in knowing that Darryl although form an earthy prospective have lived a relatively short life, but based upon the actions taken by him, the loved that he showered upon those that were close to him he has lived a full life, the Almighty knows the seeds that he plants, where they are and when he chooses for them to come into full bloom in his presence. Be Blessed that you've had the opportunity to know him, have been in his presence and now rejoice in knowing that he now rest in the presence of his Savior.
