Veterano de EE.UU.
Tracy David Ide, age 66 of Kenosha, died on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, FL.
Born in Kenosha on June 14, 1949, he was the son of the late Edward F. II and Ellen Mae (Cummings) Ide. He graduated from Tremper High School in 1967, and attended Gateway Technical College for two years studying industrial marketing after his return from military duty.
He entered the U.S. Marine Corps in August, 1967 and was honorably discharged from active duty in June, 1970. He served two tours of duty in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969.
Tracy married his high school sweetheart Cheryl Miholic on December 21, 1968. Their union was blessed with three children, Diana, Dustin, and Rebekah.
He worked as a machinist at Johnson Motors in Waukegan Illinois for 13 years, and was later employed as the tool room manager with Modine Mfg. in Racine for 26 years. He retired in 2011.
Tracy was a true servant of the Lord. He was a member of St Mary Catholic Church for almost 40 years, serving on various committees, and participating in several prayer groups. Tracy also coached Little League baseball and Pony League baseball for several years.
Tracy always put others before himself and was a wonderful example and inspiration to his family and many others. He was a loving husband and outstanding father and grandfather. He delighted in his four grandchildren and they will greatly miss their grampie and papa. Tracy battled cancer with great courage and faith. After his diagnosis someone wished him healing and to make it back home, and his reply was, "It's a win win for me because I will be going home either way". He was surrounded by his loving wife and three children as he received his wings and passed into the loving arms of God. And in the words of one of his grandchildren upon learning papa had gone home to heaven, "YEA"!
Tracy is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl; his children, Diana Jeanette (Ulises) Ide-Gonzalez of Naples, FL, Dustin David (Alicia) Ide of Acworth, GA and Rebekah Sunmee Ide of Honolulu HI; his four grandchildren, Katrina Repia, Elijah Manuel, Ulises Stanley, and Cristian Tracy.
He is further survived by his siblings, Edward F. (Sue) Ide, III, Ellen (Ron) Witechowsky, Colette (Dan) Rush Margaret (Roger) Gename, Beth (Mike) Oettel, and Michael (Deborah) Rodgers.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Bert Rodgers; as well as a great nephew, Edward F. Ide, V.

George KirchnerWe are very sorry for your loss. Tracy was a wonderful person and loved to fish in the lake here. We would joke about what lure to use. He would catch fish and I would not. I am very sorry I didn't get to see him this year. I would have loved to fish with him again. He will be greatly missed. May God bless him and his family.
