Dennis Lento, age 72, formerly of Kenosha, currently of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016 at his home.
Born in Kenosha on March 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Nello and Stella Lento. He attended local schools, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1961 as one of its most hailed quarterbacks. He would later go on to play for the Racine Raiders.
On December 30, 1999, he married Mary Wright, with whom he shared the rest of his life.
Dennis was the co-owner of Diesi-Lento Ford in Kenosha, and managed several other auto dealerships in the Chicago area.
Dennis is survived by his loving and caring wife, Mary L. Lento of Bonita Springs, FL; his son, Gary N. Lento, of Phoenix, AZ; his nephew, Jeff Lippert of Baltimore, MD and his sister-in-law, Val Oswald of Wauconda, IL.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa M. Schabel; and his sisters, Carol and Diane.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 Noon at St. Mary Catholic Church, 7400 39th Ave. Interment will follow in St. George Cemetery.

I will always remember the kindness and love he showed to my dad, mom, sister and myself throughout his life. Dennis may have left this world...but his memory will remain in my heart forever.
