Karl E. Foerster, age 76 of Salem, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at Hospice Alliance/Hospice House, Pleasant Prairie.
He is survived by his partner, Ray Knudson; and his three sisters, Rachel, Tertia and Andrea Foerster.
Karl was active with the Bulldog Club of America, and breeding and showing his dogs for 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Jeanette (Dobbins) Foerster; and a brother, Robin Foerster, M.D.

In accordance with Karl’s wishes, private funeral services with full military honors will be held.

He was insightful, involved and worked every day with the highest levels of integrity. Away from work, his work with Bulldogs was highlighted by Champions! I learned from Karl and there will always be a warm spot in my heart for him. I will never forget Karl's french inscription: "Vive les Bullgogs" (Long Live Bulldogs), and to that I say - "Vive les Karl Foerster!" Rest in peace, my Friend.
