The cherished matriarch of her family has passed. Dotsie B. Tyler, age 92 passed on Friday, May 20, 2016.
The last surviving child of the late Wiley and Donie (Johnson) Turner, she was born in Starkville, MS on June 24, 1923.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church. Dotsie enjoyed cooking and shopping and will always be remembered for her never ending love and devotion to her family.
She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her six children, James Henry (Sally) Tyler, Leara Patterson, Dorothy Tyler, Curtis Turner, Artis (Roxie) Tyler, and Aleta Tyler; eighteen grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Henry Tyler; three brothers Booker T. Turner, John D. Turner, Wiley Turner, Jr., and her two sisters, Sallie Mae Jenkins and Pearl Harris

A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Baptist Church, 3925 32nd Ave. Private interment will be held in Green Ridge Cemetery.
