Connie FranzelDear Mary Ann, friends, and family, Danny was my uncle, but since we were almost the same age, he was like my big brother. I have not seen or talked to him in many years, but I loved him. He had the kindest heart and was always ready to help you if he could. When we were kids, he took me fishing, gave me rides on his motorcycle, and he would let me help him feed the fish. He would tell me stupid stories that I would believe, like fish got rabies so be careful or he would push me in a muddy pond, and aggravate me. He also listened to me, took me shopping for my boyfriend's gift, and gave me the thumbs up on the man I married. He stood up in my wedding and wished me a happy life. Soon after my marriage, my mother, his sister, took her own life and he was was so sad. My sister and I were never invited to any family gatherings after that and Danny would tell me how sorry he was about it. We saw each other a few times during the years and said how we should get together, but as life is, we were both busy in so many areas of life, that we never made it happen. I wish I could have said good by and I would have told him what a great guy he was and how he enriched my life during those early years. The last time I saw him, he told me about Mary Ann and his eyes would sparkle and he told me about getting his real estate license and I could see the pride in his eyes, but what he did not realize, was that he was special, and that he made unforgettable memories in a young girls life. My mother loved him too, he was her favorite brother! I am sorry for the loss that those who loved him will have to go through. I pray for peace that only God can give during this sad time. And I am thankful that he was my uncle! Sincerely, Connie
