John M. Grno, age 71 of New Berlin, formerly of Kenosha, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI.
Born in Kenosha on November 3, 1945, he was the son of the late John and Irene (Podoba) Grno. He attended St. Anthony Catholic Grade School and graduated from St. Joseph High School. John was very active in their high school musicals.
On July 2, 1983 in Milwaukee, he was united in marriage to Jill O’Leske.
John was a long-time Membership Account Manager with the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce where he developed many wonderful business relationships. He was very involved with community events associated with the Chamber.
He enjoyed golf and bowling along with being a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers. John’s sense of humor and love of family will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jill; his sister, Lolita (Dan) Haring; his sister in laws and brother in laws, Lynn (Matt) Ruffing, Dean O’Leske, Kathy Gorenc and Jennifer Andrae and his nieces and nephews, Pattie Arneson, Robert (Laura) Dolnik, Joni Haarbauer, John (Pat) Dolnik, Kathy Dolnik, Curt Van Hazinga, Mark (Pam) Van Hazinga and Jane Gentile. He is further survived by great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Dolnik and nephews, Michael Dolnik and Bill Arneson.

Funeral Services honoring John’s life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Piasecki-Althaus Funeral Home, 3720-39th Ave., Kenosha, WI. Interment will be held on Saturday, December 3rd at 10:00 a.m. in St. George Cemetery.

Karen KnustaDear, Jill. My heart goes out to you and your family with this unexpected tragedy. So many fond memories of John- And you two just celebrated your 33rd anniversary! That's something to be super proud of and cherish. A few years back we hired a Barbershop Quartette for my mom, turns out they knew John; he used to sing with them :) And I still have the lights in my home that John sold us 20 yrs. ago!
