Nancy A. Parise, age 80 of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her residence on Monday, November 4, 2019, with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Racine on December 2, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Jack and Virginia (Crary) Poplawski.
On March 2, 1957 in Kenosha she was united in marriage to her one love, James Parise.
For over 30 years, Nancy was an IRS Enrolled Agent and was employed with H & R Block. She retired in 2017.
Nancy was a member of the former St. George Catholic Church. She was a longtime vegetable gardener who had a passion for tomatoes. The seeds from her best tomatoes were propagated and used for her future plantings. She loved to cook and bake. She would share with her special recipes; especially candies with her family and friends during Christmas.
She enjoyed gambling and trying her luck at the slots at Potawatomi Casino. Nancy was a fan of the Brewers and Packers and she liked to keep in touch by talking on the phone. Nancy’s family has always held a special place in her heart.
Nancy is missed by loving husband of 62 years, James Parise; her children, James (Cassie) Parise, Mary Means and Robert Parise; her grandchildren, Jimbo (Michelle), “me” Stephanie, Jennifer and Christopher and her beautiful great granddaughter, Kailee; her brother, Herb; her sister, Geri (Gerry) and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina; and a brother, Alex.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Dr. Peter Mariani and the staff of Hospice Alliance, Inc., especially Beth, for the compassionate care and love they gave to Nancy and her family.

Karen DespinMy condolences to all of you. Nancy did my taxes for several decades so I saw her once a year which was always like catching up with an old friend. She always started our visit with a joke then we began our ritual of talking about our medical issues. We are the same age so could compare many problems although her breathing was always the biggest problem. I miss our visits & will forever miss her presence @ our once a year get together. Nancy was the best

Joan BullisNancy did our taxes for us for almost 40 years. We sat at her kitchen table every March from the time we were a childless couple till our kids were adults on their own. We have so many pleasant memories of catching up with each other on what went on in our lives in the last year. Nancy was incredibly intelligent and a tireless worker. We will miss her.
