noviembre 26, 2021

Telasphore J. Janovicz, Jr., age 83 passed away at his residence on Friday, November 26, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Telasphore and Bernice (Kramer) Janovicz, Sr. He was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School and earned his associates degree from Gateway Technical Institute.
On June 26, 1965 in Iron River, MI, Telasphore was united in marriage to Loretta Shamion. Their union was blessed with 56 years of marriage and three children.
Telasphore was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for 5 years with American Motors, 19 years with Sorenson Manufacturing and 25 years with Sanmina Corporation. He also was a contractor for MGA Research until his retirement.
He enjoyed spending time with the love of his life, his wife Loretta. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing cribbage, cards and spending time outdoors in his yard and in the sun. Telasphore was an avid sports fan of the UW-Badgers, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and playful dog.
He was a man who had an extremely keen mind. If you needed something built right, he was the man who could do it. He was a honest and hardworking man with principles that he was proud to teach to his children. He enjoyed figuring out problems, just doing anything to keep his mind active.
Telasphore is survived by his loving wife, Loretta; his children, Michael (Donna) Janovicz, Dr. Pete (Christine) Janovicz and Jill (Tom) Janovicz Bertz; his grandchildren, Emma and Julianna Bertz; his step grandchildren, Erica Downey and Andrea Rausch; his step great-grandchildren, Addison and Hollyn Bartelt, Keira, Kaylee and Mason Rausch; his siblings, Richard (Nancy) Janovicz, Patricia (Michael) Mishkin, Darleen Chick and Peggy (Chuck) Power; his eight sisters-in-law; his six brothers-in-law and twenty-six nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Telasphore was preceded in death by his in-laws, Stanley and Margaret Shamion, and brothers-in-law, Ollie Chick and Jerry Shamion.
Thank you to the Hospice Nurse Sarika and Hospice Aide Tara who were so compassionate. In addition, the family would like to thank the wonderful neighbors for all their support and help throughout this period. We appreciate it more than words can describe. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Safe Harbor Humane Society in Kenosha.

I had the pleasure to know Mr. Janovicz for more than 30 years. In those thirty plus years, I cannot remember a time when he wasn’t smiling and positive. His positive impact on others continues through his legacy. It continues for those who were afraid to go to the dentist but found a dentist they now trust. It continues for the young students that have a teacher dedicated to making sure they get a quality education. It continues for everyone driving safer vehicles because someone thoroughly tested it. These positive impacts are only the tip of the iceberg. With Mr. Janovicz’s positive demeanor and influence, he made the world a better place than he found it. He will be missed.
