Rosemarie Sirrell, age 68, passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in Kenosha, WI. She was born on The Fourth of July in 1956 and was a 1975 graduate of Horlick High School in Racine, WI.
A loving mother of three and a cherished friend to all, to know her was a gift. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone that knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her. Rose loved to travel the world and she did just that. She was always the life of the party no matter who else was in the room. She worked at the Holiday Inn downtown Kenosha for many years as the head cook, and this is also where she met her former husband, Robert Sirrell, Jr. The two were married on June 7, 1986, and were later separated. From being the best Bartender at JT's to being a caregiver to the ones who became family, she was always willing to help anyone who crossed paths with her.
In 1999 she met her loving companion, Jim Vandenbranden, who selflessly cared for Rose through the personal challenges she faced after receiving a diagnosis of Alzheimers disease.
Rose loved traveling, dancing, singing, and loving her dog, Baby Girl. Every year, she looked forward to a big front-yard party while watching the 4th of July parade come down the street. Everyone will always remember her house decorations that brought joy to every holiday... especially Christmas! Most of all, she treasured her children and grandchildren, who meant everything to her.
She is survived by her son, Justin Sirrell; daughter, Tiffany Sirrell; step-daughter, Cynthia Chappell; grandchildren, Emmalee and Brooklyn Swanson, and Dylan Burts; and her sister, Kathy Hendrickson.
Rose was preceded in death by her son, Chaz Sirrell; father, John McDonald; her mother, Yvonne (Paul) Williams; and sister, Paulette Zwicke.
The family would like to thank The Bay at Waters Edge, Horizon Hospice, Oak Ridge Care Center of Union Grove, and all of the guardians who cared for Rose during her sicknesses.

Jay RushThis is the woman everyone wanted to be around. Everyone wanted to be her friend because she was so smart, funny and loved to party. I still have the Earth Wind & Fire album she gave me in a Christmas gift exchange around 1980. Even though I haven't talked to her in years, I thought about her often. This kind of person you just don't forget about. You'll be missed, Rose.

Pam schefflerDear Rose, Thank you for all of the childhood memories of dancing, singing, parties, upnorth and just hanging out. I remember our friendship started when you were playing your new 45 record of Michael Jackson on your front porch. I think before that we were calling each other names from a distance, lol. When I heard your music I had to walk over and talk to you; and what an honor it has been to have known you and to be your friend. I will forever remember your priceless giggle and laugh, which I always loved to hear. R.I.P. ROSE Your old friend, Pam
