18 de mayo de 2026I remember Memorial Day in their backyard, and EVERY new year holiday sitting in the living room; eyes stinging from the raw onions being cut for dressing and greens. Grandma barb sang next to me in the church choir and she would grab my wrist when I wasn’t swaying on beat with the rest of them. The distance between home and texas is quite long, but it doesn’t soften the blow of losing such a phenomenal woman. I know papa was sitting in his favorite chair with his slanted cap and piece of fruit in hand ready to greet her. Rest well, grandma.
