Natalie Marie Klemko, a los 38 años, falleció el domingo 19 de abril de 2026, en Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, rodeada de su amada familia. Nació el 1 de octubre de 1987, hija de Michael y Amy (Schutz) Klemko. Fue graduada de la Westosha Central High School. El impulso de Natalie se extendió mucho más allá de su vida personal, logrando notables éxitos atléticos y académicos. Se graduó de la Midwestern State University con una beca de ciclismo, obteniendo su título de BBA en Administración y Gestión de Empresas, y más tarde completó su MBA en Marketing y Operaciones y Gestión de Marca/Producto en la DePaul University.
Como una ciclista consumada, Natalie fue Campeona Nacional Juvenil de Ciclismo y compitió en el escenario mundial en el Campeonato Mundial Juvenil de Ciclismo en Viena, Austria. Compitió a nivel semiprofesional con el equipo Advil/Chapstick y luego se convirtió en Campeona Nacional Universitaria de Ciclismo. Nunca reacia a romper barreras, también compitió en autos de sprint sin alas junto a su hermano, convirtiéndose en la primera mujer en recibir puntos en la historia de la Interstate Racing Association. Verla incursionar en el mundo de las carreras de autos y bicicletas fue inspirador: fue pionera para las mujeres jóvenes, incursionando en espacios dominados por hombres no solo para participar, sino para dominar.
Natalie vivió una vida impulsada por la pasión, la aventura y un profundo amor por sus seres más cercanos. Fanática devota de las carreras de sprint cars, pasó incontables millas viajando por el país junto al amor de su vida, Bill Balog, y su equipo compitiendo en la World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series. Esos años en el camino, especialmente viajando en casa rodante de pista en pista, le brindaron una inmensa alegría y un sentimiento de hogar dondequiera que fueran.
Natalie combinó su espíritu competitivo con creatividad y dedicación en sus actividades profesionales, aportando sus talentos en merchandising, marketing y redes sociales para Bill Balog Racing y Wilmot Raceway. Su energía, determinación y amor por la comunidad de carreras dejaron una impresión duradera en todos los que la conocieron.
Ella atesoraba el tiempo con sus queridos sobrinos, Marshall y Cade, así como con los hijos de Bill, Dylan y Cole, creando recuerdos duraderos llenos de risas y amor. Natalie también encontraba felicidad en los placeres sencillos de la vida, cocinando y horneando para sus seres queridos, y dando paseos tranquilos con su cachorrita, Greta.
A Natalie le sobreviven su madre, Amy Klemko; su hermano, Chris Klemko; sus sobrinos, Cade y Marshall Klemko, y su compañera de vida, Bill Balog, y los hijos de este, Dylan y Cole, y muchas tías, tíos y primos queridos.
Le precedieron en la muerte su padre, Michael Klemko; sus abuelos, Paul y Lorraine Schutz y Albert y Bernice Klemko.

I knew Natalie from the racing circuit and she was always at the front of the pack. Off the bike very personable and friendly.

As a former member of the MSU Cycling Team many years before, I feel a deep sense of connection through the shared spirit and community that the team represents, even though I did not have the opportunity to know her personally. The bond of that experience carries across generations, and it is clear that Natalie was part of something meaningful that continues to unite so many. We wish you many fond memories of her and the good times that you all shared together as a family. We share in your sorrow. She truly had a zest for life that brought job to all those around her.
